Sophie Reble is a Swiss costume designer working freelance across music theatre, spoken theatre, performance, dance and international film productions. She studied costume design with Florence von Gerkan at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
She has collaborated with directors and choreographers including Laurent Chétouane, Bastian Kraft, Nicolas Stemann, Teresa Vittucci, Leonie Böhm and Julia Riedler at theatres including the Schauspielhaus Zürich, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Dramaten, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Salzburger Festspiele. Since 2021, Sophie Reble has maintained an ongoing collaboration with Theater Hora, creating costume designs for productions including “Planet Hora”, “SACRE!” and “Riesenhaft in Mittelerde™”. “SACRE!” was invited to the Swiss Dance Days 2024, while “Riesenhaft in Mittelerde™” was selected for the Berliner Theatertreffen 2024.
Following her work on “Riesenhaft in Mittelerde™” (2023), Sophie Reble returns to the Schauspielhaus Zürich for DER ZAUBERER VON OZ.
